Practically located in Acadia National Park, the Krieder Residence sits on a bluff overlooking Southeast Harbor. The green roof sits atop the garage for the residence. The use of native perennials and shrubs gives the appearance that it is blending into the native landscape. Green roofs like this are becoming more popular as people and municipalities push to build in a way that is less visually distracting to the surround landscape.
