Installed in the summer of 2006, the green roof at the Natural History Museum is located on a barrel roof and is one of the first things that you see as your enter the grounds. This was Apex Green Roofs first green roof installed on a pitched roof. Due to the pitch, this system required slope stabilization, but no drainage layer. The other side of the roof is covered with solar panels.
